Dr. John Watts

Dr. John Watts


Dr. John Watts is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of the Criminal Justice and Restorative Justice Program at the University of Saint Joseph. He is a retired Chief Probation Officer with 20 years of experience working at the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, Court Support Service Division (CSSD).

Dr. Watts is a national trainer and consultant with the SAMHSA's GAINS Center and Policy Research Associates and holds certifications as a Criminal Justice Additions Professional (CCJP) and in Forensic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (F-CBT). Dr. Watts earned his Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from Charter Oak State College, a Master's Degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from Albertus Magnus College, and a Doctorate Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University.

Dr. Shawn Tylutki


Dr. Tylutki has over 25 years of adult correctional experience. Dr. Tylutki has served as the Assistant Deputy Warden of Women’s Huron Valley with the Michigan Department of Corrections since 2021. As Assistant Deputy Warden, she is responsible for directing and participating in a variety of activities involving the administration of custodial, treatment, education, personnel, and business programs necessary for the operation of the correctional facility.

Dr. Shawn Tylutki


Dr. Shawn Tylutki is an Assistant Deputy Warden in the Michigan State Department of Corrections.

Dr. Courtney McCoy


Dr. Courtney McCoy is a corrections sergeant in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has had assignments in both shift operations and security. Her roles have include training coach, field training officer, and grievance officer. Dr. McCoy completed her Doctor of Criminal Justice degree from Saint Leo University. Her dissertation was titled, "Women Corrections Executives Experiences with Reciprocal Trust and Burnout Symptoms; A Case Study."
